BLOG!!!

We have a BLOG!!!

We are so excited to announce that we have a blog. There are seven contributing authors. We all work in the medical field, but the blog is going to focus on how we try to work health and wellness into our everyday lives. Some of us are married with kids, others are single. Amongst our children we have 2 sets of multiples, a child with type I diabetes, 2 children with multiple food allergies, and 2 of our families are bi-racial. So we really feel that we represent all of YOU! We can't wait to hear your thoughts and we are so excited to share our lives!

Cook With Me!!!

Each week I am going to post a recipe that I have made for my family. Sometimes they will be my "old favorites" but I am going to really work hard to put out new things that I try. This is how it works at my house... I am married, I work 36 hours a week and am the mother to twin boys that turn 3 in February. So I am pretty busy and I have found the only way I can actually get a semi-decent meal on the table is to plan ahead. SO, each Friday I look at the week coming up and plan our meals. Now, I don't plan down to the meal on each of the days, but I do plan and look at if my husband is going to be home or not, if I am going to be coming in and need to get dinner on the table in under 30 minutes, or if it is a meal that parts of it can be used more that once or re-invented (for example this week I made tomato sauce and then used the extra sauce in Sloppy Joe's later in the week), I then make my grocery list and print out the recipes. I go shopping and clean all the fruits and veggies so that they are are just as easy to snack on as crackers or granola bars. The weeks that I don't do this I am miserable, so those weeks are coming further and further apart... and well making a commitment to blog about it keeps me motivated too! So sign up for the blog and see what's cooking!
