Why is exercise important?
Basically, exercise burns calories. If you want to lose weight it is a simple equation of how many calories you burn verses how many calories you eat. Exercise also helps makes your muscles stronger. Stronger muscles burn more energy/calories.
Exercise and staying fit also helps with our body’s health. Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, circulation, breathing all improve with exercise!
Exercise is a great way to get fit and have some fun. Think of all the games that you could play that would make your body move. It doesn’t have to be playing a sport or going to the gym.
Try stretching and strength training.
